The NCS has proven to be a world class petroleum province. This year’s conference will focus on marginal discoveries in mature basins.
For whom?
All-round explorationists with a need to get updated on recent discoveries that give high values for both the oil companies and the host country.
Why?
While lots of discoveries are made on the NCS every year, the volumes in individual discoveries are generally small. What does it take to find substantially more oil and gas?

EXPLORATION INNOVATION PRIZE
The prize is awarded a license group, company or team who during the last two years has given a courageous and innovative contribution in exploration for oil and gas on the Norwegian continental shelf.
The recipient has matured and drilled a prospect that can be defined as high risk and high potential. It can be classified as dry, technical discovery or commercial discovery.
THE PROCESS
The jury has nominated three prospects who will be presented at NCS Exploration – Recent Discoveries.
The three finalists will be unveiled on expronews.com. Conference delegates are invited to vote for their favorite prospect during the conference.
A winner is selected by the jury, based on the vote and prize criteria.
In a live session on the 2nd day of the conference, the 2020 Exploration Innovation Prize will be announced!
